New AZ law means harsher penalties for lane splitting

Under a new Arizona law, lane splitting on a motorcycle, which was previously a civil offense, is now considered reckless driving, a class two misdemeanor. Lane filtering, which is passing stopped vehicles in the same lane or in between lanes at speeds under 15 MPH on a divided road with at least two lanes of traffic, is still legal.
