Nine hikers from the SaddleBrooke Hiking Club, set out for a refreshing hike up on Mt. Lemmon, taking the scenic Mount Lemmon Trail up to the peaceful Meadow Trail on Tuesday, July 15. With the weather sitting comfortably in the low 70s, they couldn’t have asked for a better day to explore the mountain.

The trail treated them to some incredible views—sweeping pine forests and rocky outcrops. As they made their way through the cool, shaded paths, the mix of laughter and light conversation made the hike feel as effortless as it was enjoyable.

Once they connected to the Meadow Trail, the peacefulness of the area really settled in. It’s easy to forget you’re just a short drive from Tucson when you’re surrounded by that much beauty and stillness.

Those on the hike were Marc Humphrey (Guide), Maria Szentirmai, Jeff Love, Johanna Pawelczyk, Tom Frost, Barb Berry, Sandy Gianotti, Lynn Sommerfeld and Marie Bienkowski.

They wrapped up the hike with a well-earned lunch at Beyond Bread in Summerhaven. Between the fresh sandwiches and great company, it was the perfect way to end a mountain morning.

All in all, it was a fantastic outing with a great group of hikers. They are already looking forward to the next one!
