Coco’s Bakery Restaurant, 6095 E. Broadway, closed April 1, leaving Tucson with just one outpost — 7250 N. Oracle Road — of the national chain.
The closure came as part of the parent company’s dramatic downsizing. San Antonio-based Food Management Partners acquired the Coco’s Bakery and Carrows brands from California-based Catalina Restaurant Group Inc., and shuttered 75 of Catalina’s 149 restaurants on April 1, the day it took them over, according to a report in Nation’s Restaurant News.
