Male Broad-billed Hummingbird in ocotillo
Taken by Brien Harvey late afternoon 4/15/17. The sun was dipping behind a ridge to the west, and the base of the ocotillo was already in shadows. I almost gave up just a few minutes prior to this shot, as no hummer had visited this ocotillo for almost two hours (and it was hot that afternoon). "Patience is a virtue." :-)
