Tucson Urban League is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year and what better way to kick off the celebration than hosting an iconic Motown band.
The league is bringing in Motown greats The Temptations for a concert Jan. 31 at Fox Tucson Theatre, 17 W. Congress St. The band — The Temptations Review Featuring Dennis Edwards — is comprised of the longtime frontman Edwards, who has been singing lead with the R&B band off and on since 1968. He has famously said that he has recorded lead on more Temptation hits than his two predecessors.
The concert will survey The Temptations greatest hits — "My Girl," "Just My Imagination," "Ain't Too Proud to Beg," "Get Ready" and much more. It starts at 8 p.m. Jan. 31 and tickets are $25 to $65 here.
