The Arizona State Fair apparently set some new records for its recent three-week run.
• 1,077,891 people attended over the 18 days, up 36,562 over 2010.
• Fairgoers donated 32,000 pounds of food to St. Mary's Food Bank on Oct. 19, and 6,829 pairs of jeans, 1,293 pairs of tennis shoes, and 688 backpacks to St. Vincent de Paul on Oct. 26.
• More than 107,000 people attended the concerts (15 throughout the run; the biggest show was the boy band Big Time Rush, which packed the Veterans Memorial Coliseum with 14,500 screaming fans.
• Nearly 7,000 community acts performed on stages throughout the fairgrounds.
• 40,000 people attended rodeo and equestrian events in the Grandstand Arena.

• There were more than 10,000 competitive entries from 3,883 exhibitors showcasing agricultural and creative accomplishments
• Two dairy calves were born in the barns during the fair, and 2,000 butterflies were set free at the end of the fair by the Butterfly Adventure attraction.
• Fairgoers consumed 10,000 pounds of sugar, 45,000 corndogs, 30,000 bags of cotton candy, 2-1/2 tons of chips and 165 gallons of hot sauce.
