Rickesha Jovani Burns, 21, of Phoenix, was arrested March 25, 2013, on suspicion that she sexually abused her 2-year-old son. She is being held without bond on charges of sexual conduct with a minor and child abuse. Police officers were called to a residence about 8 p.m. Sunday and found Burns holding her son. The toddler was crying and bleeding. The boy was taken to a Phoenix-area hospital where doctors found the toddler and was immediately transported to a Phoenix hospital. Doctors found the child had injuries around his rectal area and he needed surgery to remove a foreign object.
