Investigators say a fight between Jarad, and his father, 61-year-old David Daughtrey, a retired Illinois state trooper, at the home they shared in Swansea led to the older man's death two days before his son killed himself and was discovered Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014 at a motel in Fairview Heights, Ill. Authorities were looking for Jarad to question him about his father's death when he was tracked to the motel.
