Jacobs Assay Office

The modern-day streetcar passes near where the Jacobs Assay Office at 30 S Main Ave., and a private residence once stood. It was replaced by the garage of the Hotel Arizona. The office, which was originally established in 1880, was moved to its then present position in 1908.
