A vintage-inspired restaurant and nightclub is now open on Fourth Avenue
- Updated
When we first heard about the concept of Tucson's newest nightclub, we were puzzled: how would the restaurant incorporate both the 1950s and the 1990s? Where would the common ground be?
My mind first went to "Happy Days," a show that revived the 1950s that was popular in the '80s. We've always been borrowing from the decades past. Perhaps they'd interpret the '50s through a '90s lens?
When my colleague Elvia Verdugo sat down with the owner, Jonathan Homan, I quickly became as fascinated with his story as the bar-restaurant he's launching. Jonathan is no stranger to bridging disparate vibes: he's worked closely with the Kardashians as the vice president of sales for Poosh, Kourtney Kardashian's version of Goop. But within the same decade, he was a chicken farmer with 10,000 birds down in Douglas, Arizona.
Elvia told me on a personal note that she was impressed with how the restaurant came together. Check out the rest of her story to see how it turned out!
