We returned to Tucson in 1996 and chose to live in Oro Valley because of its reputation for excellent schools. I am 57, and graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. Upon graduation, I was hired as a landscape architect by the National Park Service and for over 31 years I have developed skills to solve problems, reach consensus, and manage budgets. If elected I would work to restore trust and unity in the community, increase fiscal discipline, champion "Your Voice, Our Future" (OV's general plan), empower OV boards and commissions, and promote robust planning and design of OV's park system. I opposed purchase of the El Conquistador as it was publicly presented and would immediately suspend improvements and engage the community in a candid conversation about a range of possible options and work to reach consensus on the most sensible course of action.
