A sport utility vehicle collided with a SunTran bus in South Tucson Sunday morning, sending three people to the hospital and extensively damaging both vehicles, according to the South Tucson Police Department.
The accident occurred about 11:30 a.m. at South 10th Avenue and West 29th Street. The preliminary investigation showed the driver of a Toyota 4Runner — which rolled after the collision — was at fault, according to a South Tucson Police Department media release.
The driver was cited, the release says. Those who went to the hospital suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The media release didn’t include any information about which vehicle the injured people were in or how many people were on the SunTran bus when the collision occurred.
No public information officers at the South Tucson Police Department were available Monday morning.
