PHOENIX — A Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office detention officer has been arrested on suspicion of prostitution.
Phoenix police say Jillian Lybarger was taken into custody Wednesday in connection with the investigation into a large prostitution ring known as “Desert Divas.”
Lybarger was released on her own recognizance later Wednesday and placed on administrative leave by the sheriff’s office.
The 23-year-old Lybarger had worked as a detention officer in county jails for the last year.
Authorities say a two-year investigation has led to more than 50 arrests from the East Coast to Phoenix and they’ve effectively dismantled a prostitution ring that brought in more than $18 million in the last six years.
