The Tucson Police Department has arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of his friend on the southeast part of town.
Micah Morgan, 19, was arrested Thursday in the death of 21-year-old Herschel Watkins III, who was killed early Tuesday, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a department spokesman.
Morgan was booked into the Pima County jail on an arrest warrant for manslaughter, Dugan said.
He was arrested in the area of East Broadway and Wilmot Road by federal marshals and police detectives.Â
Police were called Tuesday to an apartment complex in the 4200 block of East 29th Street near Columbus Boulevard in reference to a shooting, said Dugan.
Upon arrival, officers located Watkins on the floor of an apartment unit with gunshot wounds, Dugan said.
