A fatal tractor trailer crash Wednesday closed a portion of Interstate 10 in Tucson for hours.
Arizona Department of Public Safety personnel examine the burned-out remains of a semi-tractor cab of a vehicle hauler that rolled over Wednesday, caught fire and ended up in a small wash on Interstate 10 between Valencia and Craycroft.
About 2 p.m. a car hauler traveling east on Interstate 10 went into the median near Craycroft Road, overturned and caught fire, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.
Two of the vehicles that burned extensively were electric, and smoke from the wreck could be seen across the city.
A lane opened late in the afternoon, but the wreck impeded traffic for hours.
A Department of Public Safety officer looks at a few of the cars still on the trailer of an overturned vehicle hauler Wednesday on I-10.
