Tucson's military air traffic may look and sound a little different for the next few days.
Demonstration teams for the A-10 and F-16 aircraft will be doing practice runs around midday today and Thursday said officials at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. A second F-16 flight is scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday.
Both types of jets are common sights in city skies, but these particular aircraft have a mission different from most: They perform on the air-show circuit.
"Aircraft noise may be more noticeable than usual and flight patterns may appear irregular in comparison to normal air activities conducted at D-M," a news release said.
