The flooding north of Phoenix this week was significant, but relatively minor compared to flooding in October 1983 across Arizona. Rivers swelled from Phoenix to Tucson. Flooding also occurred in Nogales and in the Clifton-Morenci area. As many as 13 deaths were attributed to the flooding. See photos at tucson.com/retrotucson
