Renovations have begun on the Arizona Game and Fish Department's boat ramp and facilities at Arivaca Lake.
The work is expected to last through March and there will be no vehicular access directly to the lake shore until the work is completed.
The newly renovated facility is scheduled to re-open in April, the agency said in a news release.
Improvements will include a new boat ramp and boat courtesy dock, new sidewalks and boat trailer parking spaces.
The lake shore will remain open to pedestrians during the construction. The existing restroom and parking area remain open to the public throughout the construction period.
The lake, south of Tucson, is experiencing low water levels because of a lack of rain runoff.
