The death of an airman at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Wednesday has been declared a suicide, base officials said Friday.
The airman was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on base about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, said Lt. Jonathan Simmons, a Davis-Monthan spokesman.
