JIM DAVIS / ARIZONA DAILY STAR 1977 John Sebastian has had a varied career as a singer, songwriter and musician. As the leader of the Lovin' Spoonful, he was responsible for a string of hits. However, on Oct. 29, 1977, he was the warm-up act for comedian Steve Martin at the Tucson Community Center. Following his opening performance, he changed out of his stage clothes and into jeans and a T-shirt, joining his family to watch the "wild and crazy guy's" show for the fourth time that week.
