It seems Jennifer Lopez's career has crossed the border from "hot" over to "irrelevant."
Her film, "Bordertown" — filmed partly in Nogales, Son., in 2005 — will bypass American theaters and go straight to DVD in January, according to a Moviefone report quoted in the New York Post.
This comes after her drama "El Cantante" fizzled at the box office this summer, earning less than $8 million.
In "Bordertown" Lopez plays a journalist investigating murders of factory workers on the Texas/Mexico border.
If this sort of career momentum keeps up for Lopez, her next move may be to investigate infomercial hosting gigs.
