Santa Rita High School received special recognition from the Arizona Department of Education for its dental assisting program.
The school earned the state's highest performing dental assisting program distinction during the 2026 spring career and technical education skills assessment and was awarded a Certificate of Recognition.
"We congratulate Dental Assisting Instructor Jena Simental and her students for being named the Highest Performing Dental Assistant Program in the State of Arizona," said Charles McCullum, TUSD's career and technical education (CTE) program manager, in a news release. "Ms. Simental and her student's hard work, dedication, and teamwork made this possible — we're so proud!"
