Thursday's Tucson premiere of the documentary "2 Million Minutes: a 21st Century Solution" at the Fox Theater is sold out.
The documentary highlights BASIS Tucson, a charter school known for its rigorous academics.
Meanwhile, the school will host two of the country's most outspoken and controversial public figures on Thursday.
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich and the Rev. Al Sharpton will visit the school at 3434 E. Broadway as part of a nationwide tour to promote education.
They will receive a tour of the middle- and upper-school campuses before holding a news conference in the afternoon, school officials have said. BASIS Tucson's Upper School has been selected by Newsweek magazine as one of the top 10 high schools in the country for each of the past four years.
