Two new Bible study series are starting this month at St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church, 4440 N. Campbell Ave.
On Tuesdays beginning Oct. 11, Senior Warden Richard Kuns leads a study of Luke's book of Acts, called by some "The Mission."
The story of "the way" begins a spectacular journey from Jerusalem to the heart of the Roman Empire, Rome. The group convenes at 10:45 a.m. in Room 10 (near the north parking lot).
A six-week study of the Psalms begins Oct. 16 from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
"The Psalms: Living Reflections" invites you on a journey through the ancient Hebrew songs that shout out to God.
Using Pamela Greenberg's "The Complete Psalms: The Book of Prayer Song in a New Translation" as a guiding text, Kuns explores the structure and overall content of the Psalms. The text is available for purchase in St. Philip's Little Shop (open 10 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday). Participants are invited to bring a brown-bag lunch.

The public is invited to attend. There is no cost for either series, although participants may wish to purchase the Psalms textbook.
