In August, 2019, federal prosecutors for the Southern District of New York introduced evidence against the president of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernandez, referred to in the documents as CC-4. He was not indicted, but at trial witnesses said he accepted bribes from cocaine traffickers, including Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán.
