Thirteen A-10 squadrons competed in high- and low-angle bombing runs before taking strafing runs at the Barry Goldwater Range south of Gila Bend. The 47th Fighter Squadron, based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, won hosting priviledges after winning the 2014 competition.
