Join the Oracle Historical Society for their upcoming speaker, Catesby Suter, who will present the topic of "Caring for Iris and Other Bulbs" at the Oracle Historical Society Acadia Ranch Museum, located at 825 E. Mt. Lemmon Highway, in Oracle Arizona from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 8. A $5 donation is suggested, and this event is free for Oracle Historical Society members.

Catesby Suter has long been interested in plants and earned her Master of Science degree in Botany. After retiring from the City of Tucson as an Environmental Manager, Catesby rediscovered her love of botany and became a University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Master Gardener. For the last several years, she has taught monthly gardening classes at the San Manuel Library and is now offering one of her latest classes: Caring for Iris and Other Bulbs to the Oracle Historical Society. This class will touch briefly on the history of Iris cultivation, planting techniques, preparing and feeding the soil, tips on dividing bulbs and examples of flowering bulbs that will grow in our region.

The Oracle Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization that preserves the unique cultural-historical heritage of the community of Oracle.
