The SaddleBrooke Fine Arts Guild encourages art appreciation and art skills throughout the community—with several opportunities for members to showcase their talents. One of these opportunities—the annual "One Image, No Limits" Art Challenge wrapped up on Sunday, November 30, 2025. The work of these award winners is on display in the hallway gallery adjacent to the renovated Road Runner Grill.
Members of the Guild are challenged to produce a piece of artwork inspired by a photo chosen from submissions by member photographers. Anything goes! The only rule is that one identifiable piece of the photo must be present in the artwork (sky and dirt don’t count). Entries are judged in three categories: Advanced Artists, Intermediate Artists and Emerging Artists.
This year’s One Image, No Limits theme was an Arizona road trip. The committee chose a photo of Lake Powel submitted by Jill Jepson.
This year the juror was Tracy Lynn Ross. There are some comments specific to the painting in parenthesis. Overall comments and criteria used by the judge were creativity, beauty, vision and use of color.
