Thank you to everyone that made the 2026 Quilt Show a huge success. Over 100 quilts were displayed showing the talents of SaddleBrooke residents. The Quilt Show could not take place without the efforts of our Quilt Show Co-Chairs, Linda Greenough and Marcia Webster, and all the committee chairs, club members and the many, many, volunteers that spent countless hours putting on a memorable show.

Attendees had the opportunity to select their favorite quilt, and Doreen Diaz won First Place in Viewer’s Choice for her beautiful quilt “Coral Reef.” The bright colors stand out against the black background and almost appear to be spinning in the quilt. Doreen’s quilt features paper piecing which was the technique used in the SaddleBrooke Raffle Quilt, Sonoran Sunset.

Second place in Viewer’s Choice went to Athena Taylor for her quilt “Blue Judy” which was also paper pieced. Both Doreen and Athena’s quilt patterns were from Judy Niemeyer. You can find Judy’s patterns at Quiltworx.com.

There were four other winners that day. Rhonda Stickley won the raffle quilt. Ruth Leman, Karen Smith, and Rachel Wankling, all won Dine Around packages that were packed with gift certificates from a variety of local restaurants.

SaddleBrooke Quilters would like to thank the sponsors of the Dine Around. The following restaurants contributed gift certificates:

Bubb’s Grub, Cadillac Chapparel Steakhouse & Saloon, Café Torino, Catalina Craft Pizza, Cheesecake Factory, Chili’s, Churrasco de Brasil Brazilian Steakhouse, First Watch, Kingfisher Bar & Grill, La Hacienda Family Mexican, Lick’s Ice Cream, Mali Tahi, Mi Tierra, Mountain View Bar & Grill, Olive Garden, Ranch House Grill & Brewery, The Roadrunner Grill, Saffron Indian Bistro, Seis Kitchen, Sunny Side Up Café, The Keg, The Preserve Dining, Tohono Chul Gardens Bistro, Vivaci’s, Village Bakehouse, and Wildflower.

We would also like to thank the quilters that contributed their time and talents to making the Raffle Quilt, our featured inspirational quilters, and our workshop presenters, all for sharing their talents with everyone in attendance.

Proceeds from the raffle go to support a variety of charities with quilts and other handmade items. In 2025, The SaddleBrooke Quilters donated over 150 quilts to SaddleBrooke Quilts of Valor Veterans, Fisher House (affiliated with the Veteran’s Hospital in Tuscan), Ronald McDonald House, Youth on Their Own, and the Arizona Foundation for Cancer

Thank you for support through attendance, boutique sales, and raffle tickets. The Quilt Show wouldn’t be a success without you! Look for the next Quilt Show Spring 2028.
