As a vibrant and aging community, what can we do to help?

Play ‘Games for Active Brains’ on Thursday, March 19th

Announcing a brand new annual fun event, Games for Active Brains, (GAB) to raise attention and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. On March 19th, anyone who wishes to play Mah Jongg, Social Bridge, or Duplicate Bridge is invited to participate. The games and silent auction will be held at the Saddlebrooke HOA 1 Clubhouse beginning at 8 AM and will conclude with a luncheon at 12:30.

“We’re playing bridge and Mah Jongg because studies have shown maintaining strong social connections and keeping mentally active can delay cognitive decline and possibly dementia as we age” said Richard Kaas, president of Saddlebrooke Small Slams Bridge Club. We are partnering with the American Contract Bridge League and Northwest Tucson Bridge Club to provide this opportunity to support the Alzheimer’s Association.”

“Over the past 13 years, the American Contract Bridge League has raised $12.3 million dollars in support of the Alzheimer’s Association.”

“We want to invite anyone in the area who wishes to play to come! We know there are many social bridge clubs in the area as well as Mah Jongg players. All are invited!
