Kacee.

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Kathy Coffman had no idea that a tiny miracle was about to enter her life. While her car was parked at the DesertView Complex, a fragile six-week-old kitten crawled up into the chassis, seeking warmth and safety. Later that day, as Kathy pulled into her garage, she was startled by the faint cries of a kitten.

Searching carefully, she discovered the little one had slipped out of the car and hidden behind the furnace. Despite her neighbor’s help, the frightened kitten remained out of reach. That’s when SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue was called and arrived with a small Havahart trap lined with food and a soft blanket. Hours later, when the house was quiet, hunger overcame fear, and the kitten ventured inside.

She was impossibly small-just 1.64 pounds-and trembling with uncertainty. Kathy and her husband, Larry Tolman, welcomed her into their home, keeping her warm and comforted through the night. The next morning, a vet confirmed her age: only six weeks old, yet already a survivor.

From that moment, the kitten—now lovingly named Kacee-began to weave herself into Kathy and Larry’s hearts. On Thursday, December 11, 2025, she was officially adopted, transforming from a frightened stray into a cherished family member.

What better way to celebrate the holiday season than by saving a precious life? Kacee’s story is a reminder that sometimes, miracles arrive on four tiny paws.
