The 2025 Arizona LMSC LCM State Championship, hosted by SaddleBrooke Swim Club on Saturday, May 17 to Sunday, May 18 at the Oro Valley Aquatic Center, saw our swim team dive into the spotlight, showcasing grit, heart and a splash of fun! Representing SaddleBrooke Masters-48, this powerhouse squad turned heads with standout performances across age groups, proving that age is just a number when you’re slicing through the water like a hot knife through butter.
And crush it they did—SaddleBrooke dominated the team standings with a staggering 1,276 total points, while second place trailed far behind at just 466 points.
In the women’s 60–64 division, Samantha Martoni scored 36 points, followed by Stacy Olson with 35 and Noelle Minck (65-69 division) with 23, demonstrating SaddleBrooke’s depth. On the men’s side, Mike McFadyen (NOTE SPELLING IS CORRECT!!) tallied 35 points, with Ke Wang close behind at 26. Rome Yount and Richard Walls added 16 and 11, respectively.
The 70 to 74 group featured standout efforts from Shawne Cryderman (30 points) and Elizabeth Stewart (19). On the men’s side, Jack Allison led with 44 points, while William Zimsky and Steven Willer added 39 and 22.
But the real showstoppers were in the 75 to 79 and older divisions. Lyn Moreno led the women with 73 points, while Theresa Ashton and Wendy Weinberg collected 63 and 55 in the 80 to 84 category. Patricia Tewksbury added 21 in the 85 to 89 group. On the men’s side, Douglas Springer racked up 63 points, Stan Strebig delivered a strong 62, and Terry Ludwig followed with 43. In the 90 to 94 division, Glenn Tewksbury and Arlyn Melcher contributed 36 and 30.
SaddleBrooke Masters didn’t just compete—they embodied camaraderie and passion for swimming. From veterans to nonagenarians, their performance at the 2025 championship was a masterclass in resilience and team spirit. Here’s to more victories and cannonballs in 2026!
