The CycleMasters Divas regularly bicycle outside SaddleBrooke on Wednesday mornings. This month they decided to invite men to join them for a Divas and Dudes ride on Monday, February 9. A total of 21 bicyclists met at the Oro Valley Bicycle Shop, a convenient location for the start and end of the ride. Since it was a large group, the bicyclists divided into two groups for safety, one led by Julia Boyd with Pam Corrigan as sweep, the other led by Laurie Loose with Sue Frederickson as sweep. The sweeps are important because they ride at the back of each group to ensure that everyone is safe throughout the ride. The two groups rode 25 miles in the Rancho Vistoso area of Oro Valley. It was an enjoyable ride on a beautiful, warm and sunny Arizona day. How fortunate we are to live where the winter weather is so grand. The ride was so well received that a future Divas and Dudes ride will be planned.
