At Santa Rita, the Mustangs (9-0) forced key turnovers and used a solid running game to defeat the Eagles (5-4) and remain undefeated. The win keeps Sahuarita locked in as the No. 2 seed for the Division iV state playoffs.
Highlight reel: Sahuarita junior wide receiver Tanner Liddicoat caught a short pass from quarterback Calvin Jenkins and used a few jukes to score for the Mustangs.
Player of the game: Sahuarita senior running back/defensive back Geovan Neuser. Neuser ran for 136 yards and a touchdown. He also had the game-clinching deflection.
By the numbers: 3. Santa Rita fumbled the ball three times in Mustang territory, costing the Eagles key points.
