The renovated Rose Canyon Lake campground in the Santa Catalina Mountains will re-open for the summer season on Sunday, officials said.
Many improvements were made to the campground, including renovating 68 campsites and replacing a bathroom building, said Coronado National Forest officials.
All six loop roads were reconstructed as were the parking areas at Barnum Rock and Lizard Rock.
Renovated campsites include new tables, pedestal grills, campfire rings and bear-proof food storage lockers. Some sites have new retaining walls and steps.
