Funeral services for Army Sgt. Martin A. Lugo Jr. are being rescheduled as his family awaits the return of his body to Tucson.
Services are now tentatively set for Friday and Saturday, but an official announcement won't be made until later, according to Carrillo's Tucson Mortuary. A Mass and rosary are being planned.
Lugo, a Tucson High Magnet School graduate, was killed in action in Afghanistan last week.
Lugo, 24, an Army Ranger with the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, at Hunter Army Air Field, Ga., died when his unit was attacked with small-arms fire in Puli Alam, Afghanistan.
He is the 47th service member with ties to Tucson and Southern Arizona to be claimed by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
