Bennett cruises to win over Deschene
Republican Secretary of State Ken Bennett defeated Democrat Chris Deschene by about a 3-2 margin.
Bennett, a former state lawmaker, was appointed to the post in January 2009 by Gov. Jan Brewer.
He said he wants to review the voting system to make it more secure and convenient for Arizonans. That could include making ballots available from all precincts in a county at voting centers.

Businessman Ducey defeats Cherny
Former Cold Stone CEO Doug Ducey won the state treasurer's seat over Democrat Andrei Cherny.
Ducey, who now works at an Arizona-based company that digitizes home movies and pictures, said his top priority will be to make safe and prudent investments of tax dollars.

Cherny, who had backing from former GOP Congressman Jim Kolbe, said he would push for audits of state government.
CORPORATION COMMISSION
Two GOP candidates fend off Democrats
The Republican candidates for Corporation Commission logged comfortable victories over two Tucson Democrats.
Former state lawmaker Brenda Burns and incumbent commissioner Gary Pierce ran as a GOP ticket against the Democrats, David Bradley and the late Jorge Luis Garcia, who died on Oct. 15, both former state lawmakers.
Pierce and Burns support a state standard to require utilities to generate 15 percent of their power sales from renewable energy sources by 2025.
The two also say nuclear power could be part of the state's energy mix.

Incumbent Hart wins easily over Cruz
Joe Hart, the Republican incumbent and a former state lawmaker, defeated Democrat Manuel Cruz, a retired blasting engineer.
Hart, who said his top priority is to at least maintain the size of the office in the face of ongoing budget cuts, is an unabashed mining advocate and supports the proposed Rosemont mine.
Cruz said he would keep an arms-length distance from the industry.
