The town of Sahuarita will hold the first of two meetings tonight to get residents' input for the town's capital improvement plan.
Tonight's meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Sahuarita Schools auditorium, Pod A. Anyone who can't make it is encouraged to attend a repeat presentation at 7 p.m. March 16 at Anamax Park.
All presentation materials will be posted on the town Web site, www.ci.sahuarita.az.us, within the next few days, said Barbara Dolan, town spokeswoman.
"Most capital projects are in road improvements or new roads or park plans," she said. Such projects cost more than $10,000 and have a life span of three years or longer, by definition.
When a town is growing as quickly as Sahuarita, it's important for residents to have a voice regarding the needs of a growing population, Dolan said.

The town had a "well-attended" meeting last week at which residents heard plans and offered their ideas about what to do with a five-square-mile area along Sahuarita Road near the Santa Cruz River, she said.
