A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed Wednesday evening in a crash on the city's south side, Tucson police said.
The crash happened just after 7:30 p.m. when Cedricc Theanthonii Joe was headed north on South Campbell Avenue and collided with a Kia SUV turning onto eastbound Cochise Vista, Tucson police said in a news release.
Investigators determined Joe was traveling above the posted 25 mph speed limit on a motorcycle with no headlamp when he crashed with the SUV. Joe, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the crash scene. The SUV driver was not injured, the release said.
The investigation continues.
