A training center for shelter dogs to become companions for veterans with PTSD or brain injuries is coming to Tucson.
Soldier's Best Friend leased 1,788 square feet at 3102 E. Fort Lowell Road from Winterhaven Investors LLC. Rob Tomlinson and Natalie Furrier, with Picor, represented the landlord. Tholin Johnson, with PAK Home Realty, represented the tenant.
The group works with trainers to prepare the dogs and pairs them with veterans at no cost.
Soldier’s Best Friend has placed hundreds of dogs with veterans over the years.

As they prepare to open the Tucson facility, the group asks for donations of pet and office equipment.
