LOS ANGELES — The Arizona Wildcats have won the Pac-12 regular season softball championship for the first time in 10 years.
With a 7-2 win over 12th-ranked UCLA at Easton Stadium on Sunday afternoon, the third-ranked Wildcats clinched the conference title, the 11th in school history.
Arizona was able to bounce back with a victory on Sunday after being held scoreless in the first two games against UCLA, losing on Friday and Saturday by a combined score of 14-0. The Wildcats received some help in clinching the title, despite the two losses, after Utah lost two of three to Oregon State.
The Wildcats (48-7, 18-6) have completed their regular-season schedule and will get a week off before postseason play begins the following week. With its No. 3 ranking, Arizona is expected to host the NCAA Regional round at Hillenbrand Stadium and, should UA advance, the Super Regional round the week after.

Arizona is looking to return the College World Series in Oklahoma City for the first time since 2010. The last time Arizona won a conference title in 2007, it went on to win the national championship, too. That was also the last time the Wildcats won an NCAA title.Â
