LOS ANGELES — Josh Fogg is getting to pitch in meaningful games in September for the first time in a major-league career that began in 2000.
Most of his teammates are competing for a postseason berth for the first time as well.
"We're embracing it and having fun," Fogg said after allowing five hits over 6 1/2 innings in Colorado's 2-0 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night, extending the Rockies' winning streak to a franchise-record 10 games.
"For the most part, this team came up together," Fogg said. "Every game's important right now. The way we've been playing, you want to go out there and continue the roll."
Colorado remained tied with the Phillies, one game behind San Diego in the NL wild card race. The Rockies moved within two games of the NL West-leading Diamondbacks with four games to play.

"The goal we set coming out of spring training was to win the division," Rockies manager Clint Hurdle said. "We've never turned our back on that.
"There's an urgency to play well, that's all they're doing. They're playing to win. They're having a blast."
The Rockies won despite being held hitless by Derek Lowe (12-14) and two relievers after the third inning, when they scored the game's only two runs.
Half of Colorado's wins in the streak have come over the Dodgers, who have lost nine of 10 to fall out of contention.
The Rockies, a franchise-record 14 games over .500 (86-72), won nine straight once before — from Aug. 26 to Sept. 5, 1997.
"It came at a very good time," Hurdle said of the streak. "That's another thing this team has been able to accomplish."
Fogg (10-9) walked three and struck out five to record his first victory over the Dodgers since Aug. 6, 2002, when he was pitching for the Pirates.
Fogg faced a lineup that included Chin-Lung Hu, Delwyn Young, Andy LaRoche, Chad Moeller and Wilson Valdez — all September call-ups. They were a combined 2 for 16 with four strikeouts, with Young getting both hits.
Fogg, a 30-year-old right-hander, did not have to deal with players such as Jeff Kent, Rafael Furcal, Luis Gonzalez, Matt Kemp, Nomar Garciaparra and Russell Martin.
"I think that's kind of what we've become accustomed to over the last couple of days," Lowe said of the lineup. "I'm not the manager, but I don't really see why it would change over the last four games. So whoever's pitching that day, I think, is probably going to see that same lineup."
Young was robbed of a hit with one out in the eighth when Troy Tulowitzki went deep in the hole to field his grounder and made an off-balance throw to first.
"You'll never see a better play by a shortstop, and I played with Ozzie Smith," Hurdle said.
