For decades, the Arizona Wildcats' gridiron legends have been synonymous with the jersey numbers they've worn.
But who's the best?
Play our numbers game, as we ask the question: Who is the quintessential UA football player to wear each number?
Who wore it best?
The number: 77
The showdown: Mike Dawson vs. Eben Britton
The comparison
Mike Dawson (1972-75)
The stats: The two-time first-team All-WAC player left school with 356 tackles, one off the then-school record by Mark Arneson.
The Tucson High School graduate led the team in tackles-for-loss in his last three seasons as a star defensive tackle.

The details: In 1975, Dawson forced three fumbles, blocked a kick and earned second-team All-America honors.
The Wildcats went 9-2, losing to Arizona State on "The Catch."
The postscript: Dawson was picked No. 22 overall by the St. Louis Cardinals in 1976, at the time only the third UA first-rounder ever.
He died of a heart attack in 2008 and was inducted into the UA's Ring of Honor five months later.
Eben Britton (2006-08)
The stats: Britton was the model of consistency, starting 37 consecutive games - 24 at right tackle, 13 at left - before leaving school one year early.
The offensive tackle was a first-team All-Pac-12 selection in 2008.
The details: Offensive line is a tough position to praise with stats, so we'll offer some color: The creative writing major had a sensitivity that belied his 6-foot-6-inch, 325-pound frame. He is the grandson of Oscar-winning actress Estelle Parsons.
The postscript: Britton was selected in the second round by Jacksonville in 2009 - at the time, the second-highest Mike Stoops era draftee ever - and signed with the Chicago Bears earlier this year.
The one-sentence debate: A Ring of Honor member against a second-round NFL draft pick makes No. 77 a doubly lucky number.
