Editor's note: The new Zagat restaurant guide is out, and the rankings of the top Tucson eateries are unchanged. With that in mind, we hauled out the story we ran in Caliente last November. Just plug in 2007 and add a dollar to the price of the guide. Enjoy!
Want to find the best eclectic eatery in Tucson? The best bakery in Boston? Or a tasty treat in Tampa?
The new Zagat 2006, a review of "America's Top Restaurants" and a restaurant guide for travelers, provides all that. The slim, fits-in-a-pocket volume is now in bookstores.
The Tucson restaurants that made the grade include The Dish, 3200 E. Speedway, 326-1714, which rated the highest, with 28 out of a possible 30 points.
The other restaurants filling out the top tier, all with 26 points: Vivace at St. Philip's Plaza, 4310 N. Campbell Ave., 795-7221; The Grill at Hacienda del Sol, 5601 N. Hacienda del Sol Road, 529-3500; Le Rendez-Vous, 3844 E. Fort Lowell Road, 323-7373; and Cafe Poca Cosa (now at 100 E. Pennington St.), 622-6400.
