Is this for you?
● Just what does it take to do some of these jobs? Mert Ingvoldstad - a licensed career counselor practicing in Tucson with more than 18 years of experience - offered her insight into the types of people most likely to succeed as a . . .
Director of a funeral home and chapel for pets
● "I would see her as someone who has a lot of creativity to come up with this idea for a business, especially the weddings," Ingvoldstad said. "Obviously, she cares about animals and probably has a very strong spiritual belief system that she likes to share with people." A strong entrepreneurial spirit is imperative. Equally important in this job are compassion, warmth, sensitivity - and probably a sense of humor.
Mold and crime-scene cleanup crew
l "There are some people who, at the first suggestion of cleaning up a crime scene, would be out the door," she said. For that reason, a worker in that field is probably someone up for adventure. Ingvoldstad said people who like a lot of physical activity and working with their hands - as opposed to sitting in one place in an office - would do better in this type of job. And sensitivity is a must.

Kiln burner
l Ingvoldstad loved the sound of this job, figuring that someone who had possibly thought of being a firefighter, or even a cowboy, would have fun with it. Burners must be willing to endure intense heat, so physical stamina is important. "They're probably not so interested in being too physically active, but are fine with more of a monitoring role," she said. That doesn't mean they wouldn't enjoy a good adventure, though. After all, she said, "They're willing to be in a situation that has the potential to be dangerous."
Cart retriever
l A person in this job is someone who likes to drive, Ingvoldstad said, and be willing to take on people in the event carts are found at homes whose owners may be reluctant to give them up. "They're free spirits, driving around randomly, rather than someone who favors a planned structure," she said. Hands-on workers favoring tangible results would likely enjoy the job.
