The Golden Goose Thrift Shop in Catalina has moved into a new building.
The nonprofit shop that sells donated merchandise to fund various charity programs held its grand opening Saturday.
The 13,000-square-foot building, at 15970 N. Oracle Road, is a lot more spacious than its old location nearby.
"We were so cramped in the other place," said Claudia Enea, one of nearly 400 volunteers who help store manager Stephanie Urdiales run the Golden Goose.
Judy Tenery, another volunteer, said the ambiance at the new location "lifts our hearts. It pulls us all together as a unit."
And that can only benefit customers, she said.
