The name says it all — it's all about bacon at The Oink Cafe, which opened its first Tucson restaurant today.
You can get bacon with your eggs, on your cheeseburger, on your California grilled chicken sandwich or just on its own — served as a flight of eight, sampling the restaurant's inventive flavors including apple cider and jalapeño.
The Phoenix-based Oink Cafe, owned by the Tucson Baxia family that has the area's Peter Piper Pizza franchises, is at 7131 E. Broadway, in the space that housed the short-lived Heist Pizza Parlour. It's open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition to its breakfast and lunch menu, The Oink Cafe serves handcrafted espresso drinks, premium beer and cocktails including The Oink Bacon Bloody Mary. You didn't think they would forget the bacon, now did you?
