The Pima County Sheriff's Department is seeking information on an apparent traffic incident in which a cyclist was injured Friday on the Tucson area's far southeast side.
The department gave the following account in a news release late Saturday:
The sheriff's department received a report about 5 p.m. Jan. 5 of an injured cyclist who had been taken to a local hospital after passersby found the rider.
Deputies received information that the incident, which was not described in the news release, likely took place between noon and 1 p.m. that day near South Pistol Hill Road and East Colossal Cave Road.
Traffic unit detectives took over the investigation and are asking that anyone with information call 9-1-1; or that they "submit an anonymous tip, with the potential for a reward, by text, phone, or by going to 88CRIME.org".
