Tucson police arrested a man Saturday on suspicion of armed robbery as he tried to flee the Ramada Limited Tucson West at 665 N. Freeway Road, near Interstate 10 and West St. Mary's Road.
The man, Vincent A. Powell, 41, has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and was being held on a $250,000 bond as of Sunday at Pima County Adult Detention Center, said Gary Fennema, public safety support specialist at the jail.
Police arrived at the hotel at 10:52 p.m. after a hotel clerk reported being robbed by a man with a handgun, according to a news release from the Tucson Police Department.
Department spokesman Officer Dallas Wilson said he could not provide further details about the incident because of an ongoing investigation.
Powell is also a suspect in several other robberies committed Friday and Saturday. Wilson said he didn't know the locations of the robberies.
