Bring Funeral Home Inc., family owned since its 1928 founding in Tucson, has been sold to Tampa, Fla.-based Foundation Partners Group.
Susan Bring, whose grandfather founded the Tucson company, will stay active in it as a longterm consultant, all staff has been retained and “the name Bring continues forever,” said Paul Neville, the new general manager of Bring.
At age 65, with no children to leave the business to, as her father left it to her, Susan Bring wanted a succession plan “so it wouldn’t just go to auction” someday, Neville said. Bring was out of the office and unavailable for an interview Monday.
Bring said in a written news release, "Succession of an 83-year-old family owned and operated funeral home is not easy. With Foundations Partners Group I feel they will not only continue the legacy of service to the Tucson community but bring new leadership and innovation; at the same time offering additional opportunities to my professional, dedicated and caring associates."

Privately held Foundation Partners owns and operates 24 funeral homes nationwide, including one other in Arizona, Sunset Vista in Yuma, and five cemeteries.
The company plans to make some capital improvements such as remodeling the two Bring’s locations, at 236 S. Scott Ave. and 6910 E. Broadway, and customers will see “some different options on memorializations,” Neville said.
The sale, for an undisclosed price, was final April 15, he said.
